Leonardo da Vinci
In the late 15th century the first record of humans thinking of the creation of robots was by Leonardo da Vinci. Da Vinci theorized that one day humans would create things with a likeness to themselves. He wrote about this in one of his notebooks and his research was displayed in the book, Vitruvian Man.
